Masik-ryong Ski Resort, also known as Masik Pass atop of Taehwa Peak 1,360 m (4,460 ft) is a brand new and the only ski area in North Korea. It opened for business in the winter of 2013.

The resort features  a  luxury hotel with an indoors swimming pool and an ice skating as well as a speed skating rink.  The total of nine runs are  serviced by two chair lifts, a rope tow and two magic carpet conveyors.  The resort also has a sledding area and a snowmaking system.

Masik-ryong is situated 180 km north of capital Pyongyang. The nearest airport is located 20 km away in the city of Wŏnsan.
